Coordinated, clearance-based care
Breast cancer-related lymphoedema is managed by a specialist team. We provide home-visit MLD only as part of that plan and with clearance, especially where there has been recent cancer surgery. Any new or rapidly increasing swelling, infection signs, or untreated cancer-related swelling must be reviewed medically first.
A private, gentle setting
Many people prefer the privacy and calm of a home session for this kind of care. We keep the approach gentle and unhurried, work with your compression garment routine, and stay strictly within what your medical team advises.
Before you book a home visit
A quick WhatsApp chat helps us check that a home visit is safe and suitable. We usually ask:
- 1Which area are you located in (home, hotel or private residence)?
- 2Where is the pain, stiffness or swelling, and how long has it been going on?
- 3Was there an injury, surgery or medical diagnosis?
- 4Any numbness, weakness, swelling, infection or severe pain?
- 5Is there room for a portable treatment bed, and can you lie comfortably?
- 6Have you seen a doctor or physiotherapist for this?
Frequently asked questions
Is it safe to massage the arm after lymph node surgery?
Only with clearance from your oncology or lymphoedema team. MLD is a gentle, specific technique, not ordinary massage, and it must be guided by your specialists in this situation.
Can MLD prevent lymphoedema after breast surgery?
We do not make prevention claims. Whether MLD has a role for you is a decision for your medical team. We support an existing plan rather than promise outcomes.
What if I notice sudden swelling or redness?
Stop and contact your medical team promptly. Sudden swelling, redness, heat or feeling unwell can signal infection or other problems that need urgent care, not massage.
