Deep tissue massage uses firmer, slower techniques aimed at chronic, stubborn tightness in otherwise healthy muscle. More pressure is not automatically better; effective work uses enough pressure to reach the tissue at a level you can breathe through. It is not suitable during acute injury, with fragile skin, or with blood-thinning medication, which is why we screen first and adjust the pressure to you.
